My name is Tracey Watson and I live and work alongside my husband Chris who’s my childminding assistant. We’re a childminding family. We have a young daughter too. We enjoy healthy cooking and baking. I come from a nursing background which I loved. We’re trained and experienced in children’s care, learning and development, gained through continuing professional development and higher-level qualification training. We believe passionately about good quality childcare in a home environment. Our home is well-equipped for indoor play and we have a large garden, providing children with a safe and secure fun learning environment.
Professional Quality childcare
We combine free play with the Department of Education’s learning framework, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These areas underpin the requirements for a child’s early development. Each child has their own individual learning journal folder that tracks their progress while here in our care.
Our parents receive a daily text message telling them what their child did that day and the meals they ate. There is also a verbal handover in the mornings and evenings. We provide activities and experiences from which the children will learn.
We offer a range of activities including music and movement, playdough, arts & crafts, cookery, sandplay, reading, messy play and construction play. We also post letters home, have picnics out, visit local play parks and go on nature walks. These all encourage imagination and language skills and help to build your child’s confidence.
